The Architectural Screen

The architectural screen. It's been used to control light, filter views, and as an opportunity for artistic expression. The rosette pattern in the Gothic window. The mashrabya in Islamic architecture. Even the tinted window in my first car, a 1975 Firebird Formula. As long as man has created views for his shelter, he has found ways to control that view.
